Ron Powers excited to be named one of Larry Matysik’s 50 Greatest Wrestlers of All-time.

Earlier this week Michael Holmes, the editor for ECW Press that on Saturday September 17th in East Carondelet, IL  the fans will have a special interview with MWR’S Brian Kelley on the most talked about wrestling book for the upcoming year, Larry Matysik’s “ 50 Wrestlers of All Time”.

Word quickly got back to the CWC Champion Ron Powers, Though the names on the list have not been announced yet, Powers was ecstatic that Matysik was honoring the great men in the sport of wrestling with such a great book. In response, MWR received this letter from the champion.

To all my die hard fans,

It was an honor to be the subject in Larry Matysik’s first two books, “Wrestling at the Chase”, and “Brody”. I feel, as do all of you, these books would not have reached the level they did, had my name not been mentioned. Larry knows, and accepts this for a fact. And now, “The 50 Greatest Wrestlers of all-time “,will hit the shelves.

Soon to become a best seller, this book will name the top 50 wrestlers to have ever entered the squared circle. It will be a milestone in my career, to see my name in the top 50. Lord knows I deserve it! If this book has been written with any accuracy, I should be in the top 25. Let’s hope Mr. Matysik remembers what sells……………..ME.

Please join us in less than two weeks when Missouri Wrestling Revival will return to East Carondelet for a special TV Tapping. During the night MWR’S Brian Kelley,  will be having a special interview along with Jeff Vernetti of Sports Talk Radio 1380 speaking about the much anticipated Larry Matysik’s new book about the “50 greatest wrestlers of all time”, which Larry is finishing now and will be out late next spring.

The main event Sept. 17 is a Classic Championship match between titleholder Ron Powers and challenger Chris Hargas.
