Missouri Wrestling Revival was excited to announce at the first of 2012, that the newest promotion in the MWR coverage area was none other than St Louis Anarchy. SLA is a branch of Texas promotion Texas Anarchy Pro Wrestling and is filled with some of the top stars in the country today.
As the time grew closer to the date of the show, it was easy to tell that this was going to be a don’t miss show with stars from ROH. St. Louis and Texas all coming together for an exciting night of action, proving that SLA in 2012 was going to be an exciting promotion to keep an eye on.
Though we have not being do complete show recaps of late( with the exception of the DVD review of AAPW’S MAIN EVENT due to the fact that they sent us one to review) I wanted to show SLA the respect of at least one complete photo recaps of their first show. I personally love doing them but with the time I have in my life right now I can’t do them for every show. Still for fans in and out of St Louis this recap is for you. A great show from top to bottom with not only one but two MOY possibilities in my honest opinion between ACH and TJ Perkins and the tag team match between ROH World Champion Davey Richards and Kyle O’Riley against Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett that you will sure want to buy on DVD when it comes out.
Thanks to our friend Patrick Brandmeyer for detailed results for a spectacular show, I am happy to share with you some of the awesome action via photos from an epic night of St Louis Anarchy’s “Gateway to DANARCHY”

-Davey Richards & Kyle O’Reilly d. ACW T.V. Champion Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett when Richards made Vega tap out to the anklelock; Fitchett’s ex-manager Greg Jovi shoved Fitchett off the top rope late in the match without the other match participants seeing it. Vega vowed that he would find a way to defeat Richards by the end of 2012 and the two shook hands after the match.

-Dan Walsh won a three-way dance with Darin Childs and Darin Corbin(w/ Joey Eastman) to retain the SLA Heavyweight Title. After various shenanigans, Walsh eliminated Corbin with the cobra clutch slam. Childs caught Walsh with a Whiplash but only got a two-count…with both men down, Evan Gelistico ran into the ring and knocked out Childs with the title belt. Walsh didn’t know why Gelistico had done what he did, but he made a pin cover…for two. Walsh would go on to win with the cobra clutch slam to retain his title…but it looks like his issue with Gelistico isn’t over yet.

Breaking news: St. Louis Anarchy arrives at MWR in 2012!
Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 12, 2012
All photos courtesy of Texas Anarchy
Editor’s note: ST Louis Anarchy can be hard hitting and very violent at times. Their shows are not for the weak of heart and the language can be extreme at times at the shows and in their videos so don’t watch if you are easily offended. With that said, for the fans that have asked us to include this red hot promotion to our site. You now get your wish.
By Brian Kelley
Missouri Wrestling Revival is excited to announce that St Louis Anarchy will be covered on this very site starting 2012 as they will be our 15th promotion in our family.
I had the chance to sit down with the head of the STL Anarchy office to discuss where Anarchy has been and what MWR fans should expect when they come to one of their shows or purchase one of their DVD’S through SmartMarkvideo.com.
First off let me say thank you for joining MWR today as we try to catch up with the exciting wrestling history of ST Louis Anarchy Pro Wrestling.
SLA- We are happy to be a part of your growing website. Thanks for having us.
MWR- The fans at MWR will recognize many of the stars of Anarchy such as The Hooligans, the Submission Squad, Shorty Biggs and Evan Gelistico but your promotion is filled with a stacked roster from Anarchy Championship Wrestling of Austin, Texas, as well as many of the top stars of ROH including the current Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards. The Anarchy wrestling brand is stationed out of Missouri, Illinois, and Texas through our affiliate company, Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW). Please let the fans know more about the history of SLA and what we have missed as we hope to catch up with rivalries in the past of your company and the key players that have made an impact at SLA.
SLA- Well when we were the Lethal Wrestling Alliance a group of our guys would travel down to Austin for ACW and every now and then a group of them would come and wrestle for us. The passion of both the offices was the same it was to take wrestling from being looked at as “boring” or “lame” and let more people see what we provide which is extremely fun and well worth the price of the ticket. We offer our fans way more than $10 worth of action in Saint Louis as well as Texas. We are about passion and not leaving fans feeling cheated out of their money. Speaking for Saint Louis I feel our stories and in ring action is really second to none. This past year we saw Evan Gelistico and Dan Walsh in a very passionate and bloody battle for the SLA title that saw Walsh become a main event star when he ended Gelisticos 17 month reign dating back to when he was LWA champion. Dingo returned to Saint Louis to battle his student match Fitchett a feud that started as a friendly rivalry and turned very personal leading the bloodiest match I can remember at Yuletide Terror. Davey Vega went from ½ of a tag team to a legit guy on the Indy’s have five star matches with Davey Richards, Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’ Reilly. Gerlard James and ACH have been at each other’s throats for the whole year and that feud will come to a head on January 15th in Austin Texas. Those are the main things going on there’s so much more but I would be talking all day.
MWR- St Louis Wrestling Anarchy returns to action on February 25th in in Granite City Illinois with “Gateway to DANarchy” at the Rivers Edge Complex. New Saint Louis Anarchy champion Dan Walsh will defend the title against Darin Corbin, formerly one half of the 2008 MWR Tag Team of the Year, the Northstar Express. Corbin teamed up with Robert Evans to upset (Team Ambition) Davey Richards & Kyle O’Reilly in tag action.
Rookie sensation Mat Fitchett and Davey Vega look to defeat Davey Richards and Kyle O’Riley to continue Richards and O’Riley’s losing streak at Anarchy. Even with the talent of Fitchett and Vega, that should be easier said than done as Richards and O’Riley hate to lose.
Both of these two matches should be hard hitting, for sure and are easily worth the price of admission. How do you see Corbin’ strategy as he chases his biggest singles title in his career since he last won the IWA MID-SOUTH title during their glory days on January 21, 2006 against mentor Arik Cannon?
SLA- Darin Corbin is a guy who gets tight casted as a comedy act or a sidekick when really he is a great in ring competitor. All of 2011 Corbin has stepped up to show SLA fans that he is the real deal and I am very proud of what he’s done this past year. Walsh went through hell to win that belt and he isnt going to let it go because Corbin had a great 2011. Corbin has the road miles and experience on Dan but I dont think he can out brawl him. I think its going to come down to who can throw who off there game plan.
MWR – We mentioned the stars that are fans at MWR are familiar with but for a moment let’s take the time to shed light on the stars from Anarchy in Texas and beyond that have not been featured at MWR in the past.
First off the ACW Champion, ACH and what is the history of the ACW title and who did ACH defeat for the title?
SLA- The ACW title has a very rich history. Some of the very best pro wrestlers in the world have held that title. From Jerry Lynn to Jimmy Jacobs to Showtime Scott Summers. ACH won the title by winning the 2011 Lone Star Classic. He won the finals by pinning JT Lamotta. However Gerald James attacked him and took the title and trophy from him which is why they will meet at ACWs flagship event Guily by Assocation 6.
MWR- Rachel Summerlyn.
SLA- Rachel is one of the best wrestlers on our roster. See how I said wrestlers and not “female” wrestler. Yes Rachel is a female but inside the ring she will knock you out rather you are a man or a woman. We dont put labels on people when you are in Anarchy you are a wrestler plain and simple.
MWR- Khris Wolfe.
SLA- Wolfe is a student of the Necro Butcher and really came into his own in 2011. He has some killer strikes and a variety of suplexes. He also is not afraid of the “death match” game winning several of them is his career. One of the most under rated guys in Anarchy.
MWR- TJ Perkins.
SLA – Feb. 25th will be his first time that Perkins is coming to the world of Anarchy. Perkins is one of the best well rounded wrestlers in the world and I am excited to see him in Anarchy.
MWR- Robert Evans
SLA- The King of Monarchy. Evans is one of the most entertaining guys I have ever seen preform. He is a former ACW heavyweight and U-30 Champion. Evans ring entrance is worth the $10 ticket alone. If you dont believe me just ask his legion of fans in Austin Texas.
MWR Darin Childs
SLA- Darin outside the ring is the main reason that there is a Saint Louis Anarchy. His passion and drive for ACW is a lot of the reason we asked about doing this in Saint Louis. As far is in the ring this is a guy who dropped over 100lbs and is a former ACW Champion. He competed with Davey Vega in a no rope barb wire match that was just awsome.
MWR- ACH
SLA- ACH is flat out amazing. He can do things in the ring that no one else can do and it made him one of the most popular wrestlers in Saint Louis. This is a guy who is going to take the world by storm sooner than later.
MWR Scot Summers
SLA- Summers is a icon in Texas. He has won every title and tournament there is to win. His matches with Jerry Lynn were classics and he is a corner stone to Anarchy.
MWR- How many shows doe SLA look to run in 2011 and what venues and areas will MWR fans be able to catch all the stars in action?
SLA- Right now we are looking at doing 6 shows a year. We hope to keep Granite City our home for 2012. We had great success in 2011 and if there becomes a demand for more shows we will do more. Fans if you want to see more shows you let us know..
MWR- Now let’s play a game where I say a name and you answer with one word that best describes them at SLA.
MWR Evan Gelistico
SLA- MVP
MWR- Gary Jay
SLA – Underated
MWR- JT Lamotta
SLA- Smart
MWR- Lillie Mae
SLA- Heart
MWR- Athena
SLA- Awesome
MWR- Jordan Lacey
SLA- Great Dancer
MWR-Dingo
SLA- Legend
MWR- Davey Vega
SLA- Ace
MWR-The Hooligans
SLA- Hard Hitting (2 words I know)
MWR- Mat Fitchett
SLA- Star
MWR- Fans can purchase past shows on DVD at Smartmarkvideo.com, if a fan was to purchase one St Louis Anarchy DVD, which one would you recommend them to choose from?
SLA- I would say start with Gateway to Anarchy 2011 and follow the stories for the whole year. However if you just had enough money for one I would say Tigers Blood the Art of Winning.. The Akira Tozwa goodbye is one of the most heartfelt things you will see.
MWR- We would like to thank you for joining us today and we are thrilled to add SLA to our coverage area in 2012. MWR fans can purchase tickets now for you’r must see show on February 25th as Darin Corbin challenges new Saint Louis Anarchy champion Dan Walsh and much more.

Who is the MWR’S Sexiest wrestler in the Midwest?
Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 3, 2011
Hello everyone it is Dubray again and in this special feature we are going to get down to the very bottom of what all girls want to know at a wrestling show. No it is not who is the champ or what happened at the last show. Yes it could be where our girlfriends got that cute dress and how did she get it so cheap.
Sorry I am getting sidetracked, what we really want to know is, who is the sexiest guy in the Midwest. I have been to over a 150 plus shows all around the Midwest the past few years and I can proudly say that I have seen most of the hard bodies in the area. While Brian is trying to get that exclusive interviews with thel ikes of the Mississippi Madman or the picture of the newly crowned Champion, my eye is on the prize.
So in honor of Valentine’s Day I have set up a poll for all the ladies in the Midwest to vote for who is exactly is the sexiest wrestler in the Midwest. The final vote will be taken on Feb 13 at 11:59

4 States, 14 Shows, 4,265 miles and 74 hours on the road in 3 months at MWR.
Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 26, 2010
With a plethora of great shows these past few months, it has been hard to keep up with all the exciting news flash, photos and happenings around the Midwest.
MWR has been active with some of the top stars in the country while meeting many of you the great fans, some for the first time while others we know quite well.
We have spent almost every weekend on the road covering the top promotions in the Midwest.
Let’s take a look at some of the sights of the past few months with MWR, the Fans and Superstars around the Midwest.
August 7- Granite City Illinois- High Voltage Wrestling
HVW returned from their summer break to with top stars Kahagas taking on Trent Stone , the Midwest Sweet heart Santana G going up against her arch rival Amy Hennig and the Great Cheyenne with MsChif watching.

Dan Walsh (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Would it be just by chance that the MWR Wrestler of the Week was MTV’S Dan Walsh who would give away a MWR T-Shirt in August only to see him get the HVW Livewire title soon after? Hey Dan we are just playing, you earned it….with a handful of Trent Stones tights.
August 21 – Council Bluffs Iowa – Pro Wrestling Phoenix
The trips to Iowa seem to take so long to get their, which has been a reason for us to scale back from going to PWP and 3XW. One problem they are so GOOD!! MWR fans don’t worry we have no plans what so ever to stop covering these two exciting promotions.
Pro Wrestling Phoenix delivered on this evening with some exciting wrestling action. We were on hand when Axel Greece assists Ryan Slade and Zac James cheat Chris Havius and Donnie Peppercricket out of the PWP Tag Titles. The show also saw the war rage on between Abu Colossus and Preston Maxwell.

Pro Wrestling Phoenix Champion Tony Cortez (Photo Credit Gary Giaffoglione)
The MWR Wrestler of the Night was the PWP Champion Tony Cortez. Cortez was able to survive the onslaught on Jayden Draigo to retain the championship in a feud that has become quite personal.
In the near future look for a phot recap from their last show in October from PWP/MWR Photographer Gary Giaffoglione
August 28- Lincoln Illinois – Pro Wrestling Epic
The Balloon festival in Lincoln Illionis is a BIG deal and with PWE providing a FREE show if you attend you can not miss it.
PWE delivered with the biggest match in years in the Midwest literally when the PWE title was on the line between the Mississippi Madman taking on “The Future” Donovan Ruddick led by MR Late Nite.
Ohhhs and AHHHS were heard as the two behemoths battle for supermecy and who is truly the top big man. Nothing was settled decisively, but the crowd went home to tell their friends about the Madman and Future. The match that shook the Midwest .

Evan Money explodes on Eric Allen (Photo credit Brian Kelley)
“The Kid” Evan Money was the MWR Wrestler of the Week as he went on to defeat Eric Allen with a frog splash.
September 4th – Kansas City Kansas- Metro Pro Wrestling
We were thrilled to support Metro Pro Wrestling for several reasons; first off the wrestling scene in the KC market has been dry for some time now. With Metro Pro Sports having TV, showcasing several of the top stars in the country today and oh yeah our former partner in crime Josh Ray is the current ring announcer for this upstart promotion. Metro Pro proved to be a great time with a great upside going into 2010.

September 11 – Waterloo Illinois – Independent Hardcore Wrestling
IHW has been on a roll in 2010 with some great matches in front of a packed crowd. On this night we were thrilled to debut the Tony Kozina MWR Trading Card. Kozina is one of the most well diverse and exciting wrestlers today. During the night Kozina wrestled one of the Midwest most impressive young men in the game Chris L.O.G.A.N

- Tony Kozina (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Let’s take a look at a Video recap of this great show from IHW
September 22- Olney Illinois – IWA Unlimited
Our first trip to Olney lived up to the hype that has been told to me. A weekly FREE Wednesday show how can you go wrong. A great small venue filled with some of the top young talent in the area.

- IWA Unlimited fan favorite The Intimidator gives away a free MWR T-shirt to start the night off. (Photo Credit Tim Dunahee )
Everyone that I talked to loved the stars of IWA U and looked forward to the hump day of the week. If you have the day off and live in STL I urge you to take the drive to see what you are missing.
September 25 – Hillsdale Missouri- MMWA-SICW
A great day for the community of Hillsdale as MMWA-SICW teamed up with the Hillsdale Police force to provide a free wrestling show. MMWA-SICW are always fan friendly and if a free outdoor show was not enough, the team work also offered free BBQ and back packs filled with treats from the police force given to them by the stars of MMWA-SICW.

September 25- Wood River Illinois – MECW Double shot evening
One of the best kept secrets in the Midwest, is the fact that some of the best talent in Iowa makes the long trip to the STL to go to prove that they are among the best in the Midwest. Jimmy Rockwell, Devin Carter, Zach Thompson, Ryan Slade and even self proclaimed wrestling genius Chad Mylan has put an end to Gabriel Brimstones stranglehold in the Independent title when his man Kwong won the belt in recent months.
Iowa is not the only area that is well represented as the upstate Illinois wrestlers BroMance (Knight Wagner and Jordan McEntrye) with Erin currently holds onto the MECW Tag Championship and Matt Mayday, Mike Anthony and Chris Logan have all brought their own flavor in the company.

On this night the MWR Wrestler of the Night was the champ himself, Bailey Mannix. Mannix is still one of the most underrated wrestlers in the game today.

If fans in Kansas City want the best bang for their buck they need to give Metro Pro Wrestling a chance. You won’t regret it.

We were on hand to present the High Voltage Wrestling tag champs the Hooligans the 2009 MWR Tag team of the Year plaques. To be honest we offered the exciting tag team Full Contact Dojo (Jonathan Gresham and Ric King) the chance to be the MWR Wrestlers of the Week to throw out a t-shirt as a way of being nice.
In a shocking development they defeated The Hooligans to become the NEW HVW Tag Championship . No HVW Champion was safe as “The Belt Collector” Jeremy Wyatt defeated Kahagas and Dan Walsh won the HVW Livewire belt.

MTV’s Road Rules Dan Walsh wins HVW Livewire Championship
Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 19, 2010

You have seen him thrill fans on MTV’S reality TV show Road Rules, this past Saturday Dan Walsh won the coveted High Voltage Wrestling Livewire Championship in a 4 man scramble match.
The match featured three of the most talented superstars in St Louis today when the POWERFUL Trent Stone, the FEARLESS OuTKaSt and the BREATHTAKING Billy McNeil gave an exciting match to get their hands on the title.
In a bit of an upset it was Dan Walsh who would have his hand raised at the end of the night but it would not be without controversy as Walsh had a handful of Stone’s tights to get the Victory.
Dan Walsh will have his hands full to hold onto the title, as the HVW Livewire curse or blessing to some have struck many. The first HVW Livewire champion Brandon Espinosa held onto the title for just under and hour till the “Tokyo Monster’ Kahagas won the title later that night. Kahagas would use the belt as a stepping stone to rocket to the top of the chain by winning the HVW Heavyweight Championship.
Mike Sydal would win his first ever singles championship when he became the HVW Livewire Champion on the way to becoming the 2009 Pro Wrestling Illiustrated Rookie of the Year. Shortly after Mike was being courted by Ring Of Honor when the exciting young Brandon Aarons defeated him in the spring earlier this year.
Aarons due to personal reason was unable to defend the belt in August and this show so the curse that struck Aarron’s former tag team partner Espinosa bite him.
Now we have the “Dananimal” Dan Walsh as the HVW Livewire Champion.
How long will he last is anyone’s guess. Till then lets hear from the new Champ Dan Walsh.
