Editor’s note: ST Louis Anarchy can be hard hitting and very violent at times. Their shows are not for the weak of heart and the language can be extreme at times at the shows and in their videos so don’t watch if you are easily offended. With that said, for the fans that have asked us to include this red hot promotion to our site. You now get your wish.

By Brian Kelley

Missouri Wrestling Revival is excited to announce that St Louis Anarchy will be covered on this very site starting 2012 as they will be our 15th promotion in our family.

I had the chance to sit down with the head of the STL Anarchy office to discuss where Anarchy has been and what MWR fans should expect when they come to one of their shows or purchase one of their DVD’S through SmartMarkvideo.com.

First off let me say thank you for joining MWR today as we try to catch up with the exciting wrestling history of ST Louis Anarchy Pro Wrestling.

SLA- We are happy to be a part of your growing website. Thanks for having us.

MWR- The fans at MWR will recognize many of the stars of Anarchy such as The Hooligans, the Submission Squad, Shorty Biggs and Evan Gelistico but your promotion is filled with a stacked roster from Anarchy Championship Wrestling of Austin, Texas, as well as many of the top stars of ROH including the current Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards. The Anarchy wrestling brand is stationed out of Missouri, Illinois, and Texas through our affiliate company, Anarchy Championship Wrestling (ACW). Please let the fans know more about the history of SLA and what we have missed as we hope to catch up with rivalries in the past of your company and the key players that have made an impact at SLA.

SLA- Well when we were the Lethal Wrestling Alliance a group of our guys would travel down to Austin for ACW and every now and then a group of them would come and wrestle for us. The passion of both the offices was the same it was to take wrestling from being looked at as “boring” or “lame” and let more people see what we provide which is extremely fun and well worth the price of the ticket. We offer our fans way more than $10 worth of action in Saint Louis as well as Texas. We are about passion and not leaving fans feeling cheated out of their money. Speaking for Saint Louis I feel our stories and in ring action is really second to none. This past year we saw Evan Gelistico and Dan Walsh in a very passionate and bloody battle for the SLA title that saw Walsh become a main event star when he ended Gelisticos 17 month reign dating back to when he was LWA champion. Dingo returned to Saint Louis to battle his student match Fitchett a feud that started as a friendly rivalry and turned very personal leading the bloodiest match I can remember at Yuletide Terror. Davey Vega went from ½ of a tag team to a legit guy on the Indy’s have five star matches with Davey Richards, Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’ Reilly. Gerlard James and ACH have been at each other’s throats for the whole year and that feud will come to a head on January 15th in Austin Texas. Those are the main things going on there’s  so much more but I would be talking all day.

Photobucket

MWR- St Louis Wrestling Anarchy returns to action on February 25th in in Granite City Illinois with “Gateway to DANarchy” at the Rivers Edge Complex. New Saint Louis Anarchy champion Dan Walsh will defend the title against Darin Corbin, formerly one half of the 2008 MWR Tag Team of the Year, the Northstar Express. Corbin teamed up with Robert Evans to upset (Team Ambition) Davey Richards & Kyle O’Reilly in tag action.

Photobucket

Rookie sensation Mat Fitchett and Davey Vega look to defeat Davey Richards and Kyle O’Riley to continue Richards and O’Riley’s losing streak at Anarchy. Even with the talent of Fitchett and Vega, that should be easier said than done as Richards and O’Riley hate to lose.

Both of these two matches should be hard hitting, for sure and are easily worth the price of admission. How do you see Corbin’ strategy as he chases his biggest singles title in his career since he last won the IWA MID-SOUTH title during their glory days on January 21, 2006 against mentor Arik Cannon?

SLA- Darin Corbin is a guy who gets tight casted as a comedy act or a sidekick when really he is a great in ring competitor. All of 2011 Corbin has stepped up to show SLA fans that he is the real deal and I am very proud of what he’s done this past year. Walsh went through hell to win that belt and he isnt going to let it go because Corbin had a great 2011. Corbin has the road miles and experience on Dan but I dont think he can out brawl him. I think its going to come down to who can throw who off there game plan.

MWR – We mentioned the stars that are fans at MWR are familiar with but for a moment let’s take the time to shed light on the stars from Anarchy in Texas and beyond that have not been featured at MWR in the past.

First off the ACW Champion, ACH and what is the history of the ACW title and who did ACH defeat for the title?

SLA- The ACW title has a very rich history. Some of the very best pro wrestlers in the world have held that title. From Jerry Lynn to Jimmy Jacobs to Showtime Scott Summers. ACH won the title by winning the 2011 Lone Star Classic. He won the finals by pinning JT Lamotta. However Gerald James attacked him and took the title and trophy from him which is why they will meet at ACWs flagship event Guily by Assocation 6.

Photobucket

MWR- Rachel Summerlyn.

SLA- Rachel is one of the best wrestlers on our roster. See how I said wrestlers and not “female” wrestler. Yes Rachel is a female but inside the ring she will knock you out rather you are a man or a woman. We dont put labels on people when you are in Anarchy you are a wrestler plain and simple.

Photobucket

MWR- Khris Wolfe.

SLA- Wolfe is a student of the Necro Butcher and really came into his own in 2011. He has some killer strikes and a variety of suplexes. He also is not afraid of the “death match” game winning several of them is his career. One of the most under rated guys in Anarchy.

Photobucket

MWR- TJ Perkins.

SLA – Feb. 25th will be his first time that Perkins is coming to the world of Anarchy. Perkins is one of the best well rounded wrestlers in the world and I am excited to see him in Anarchy.

Photobucket

MWR- Robert Evans

SLA- The King of Monarchy. Evans is one of the most entertaining guys I have ever seen preform. He is a former ACW heavyweight and U-30 Champion. Evans ring entrance is worth the $10 ticket alone. If you dont believe me just ask his legion of fans in Austin Texas.

Photobucket

MWR Darin Childs

SLA- Darin outside the ring is the main reason that there is a Saint Louis Anarchy. His passion and drive for ACW is a lot of the reason we asked about doing this in Saint Louis. As far is in the ring this is a guy who dropped over 100lbs and is a former ACW Champion. He competed with Davey Vega in a no rope barb wire match that was just awsome.

MWR- ACH

SLA- ACH is flat out amazing. He can do things in the ring that no one else can do and it made him one of the most popular wrestlers in Saint Louis. This is a guy who is going to take the world by storm sooner than later.

Photobucket

MWR Scot Summers

SLA- Summers is a icon in Texas. He has won every title and tournament there is to win. His matches with Jerry Lynn were classics and he is a corner stone to Anarchy.

MWR- How many shows doe SLA look to run in 2011 and what venues and areas will MWR fans be able to catch all the stars in action?

SLA- Right now we are looking at doing 6 shows a year. We hope to keep Granite City our home for 2012. We had great success in 2011 and if there becomes a demand for more shows we will do more. Fans if you want to see more shows you let us know..

MWR- Now let’s play a game where I say a name and you answer with one word that best describes them at SLA.

Photobucket

MWR Evan Gelistico

SLA- MVP

MWR- Gary Jay

SLA – Underated

MWR- JT Lamotta

SLA- Smart

MWR- Lillie Mae

MWR- Athena

SLA- Awesome

MWR-Dingo

SLA- Legend

MWR- Davey Vega

SLA- Ace

MWR-The Hooligans

SLA- Hard Hitting (2 words I know)

Photobucket

MWR- Mat Fitchett

SLA- Star

MWR- Fans can purchase past shows on DVD at Smartmarkvideo.com, if a fan was to purchase one St Louis Anarchy DVD, which one would you recommend them to choose from?

SLA- I would say start with Gateway to Anarchy 2011 and follow the stories for the whole year. However if you just had enough money for one I would say Tigers Blood the Art of Winning.. The Akira Tozwa goodbye is one of the most heartfelt things you will see.

MWR- We would like to thank you for joining us today and we are thrilled to add SLA to our coverage area in 2012. MWR fans can purchase tickets now for you’r must see show on February 25th as Darin Corbin challenges new Saint Louis Anarchy champion Dan Walsh and much more.

The Midwest Wrestling’s savior KC Karrington?

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 22, 2010

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role….You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange you put on a mask.
-Jim Morrison

Change is inevitable. It happens every day; no one or thing is immune. Who we were, could very will be quite different than who we are now. Who we are now could very well be a lie.

I hope that’s the case of young KC Karrington.

KC Karrington (Photo Credit Stephen Jones)

When I first met Karrington, he was very young looking and one had to tell me that he was in fact a wrestler. I watched as this “wrestler” signed autographs and met with kids at a meet and greet in Wood River Illinois. Smiles were shared as Karrington took pictures  with the young fans  and told stories of his young ring career and the happenings of WWE.

KC Karrington was living the dream.

I was surprised to see Karrington improve with every match. His love of wrestling would shine in matches with his tag team partner Steven Kennedy, collectively known as the Ego Express. The two was always entertaining and their fast paced style kept fans on their feet.

The Ego Express wqas tested when they  were set to meet the MWR 2008 Tag team of the Year Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz otherwise known as the Northstar Express. In a classic match, the hometown fans were thrilled to see them get a monumental win. The Ego’s were set to challenge the NSE for the title of the top tag team in the Midwest.

Or so it seemed…

Out of nowhere, Karrington announced that even though he would still team with Kennedy and the Ego’s, he had other plans. Those plans were to challenge the top wrestler in the Midwest at the time Jeremy Wyatt. “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt had been on a tear dominating every competitor that any promotion put in front of him.

Honestly, I liked Karrington and would be rooting for him but I gave him zero chance.

Karrington would not be denied. The hard work, dedication and desire to reach the goal would allow him to prove his naysayers wrong. He would go down as one of the few men to pin Wyatt in the past three years.

An impressive feat, for a young man who had been in the sport in such short amount of time. Life was looking good for KC Karrington.

Or so it would seem….

Refs have wisely kept their distance from Karrington over the last few months (Photo Credit Bill Smith )

Quietly with no fan fare, KC Karrington was gone. It would be almost a half year to the date till I saw KC Karrington. Out of nowhere came a wrestler that I had not seen before, jacked with muscles and full of ink he came towards me. I was shocked when the once looking “kid” had transformed himself into a powerhouse.

I was looking forward to getting down to what his secret to getting in shape so I asked him. I didn’t get two words out of my mouth when Karrington interrupted me and coldly stated “ Do not talk to me unless I speak to you first, you hear me? I am God, I am hear to save wrestling in the miserable state that it is in here in the Midwest. Your readers, the site, the fans and the wrestlers today better learn to follow me or they will PAY!”

It would not be long that the brutal feud of the Ego Express and the Bumrush Brothers (Shorty Biggs and OuTKaSt) would explode. After taking a loss to the ultra popular tag team of the Bumrush, Karrington would lose it. He viciously used a chair on OuTKaSt after the match. During the attack he repeatedly yelled out “I am GOD!

The feud would heat up as the summer went on as we chronicled here at MWR at this post. Déjà vu it happened again on July 24th. OutKaST after earning a hard fought win against Kennedy would find himself taking a shot from a chair courtesy of Kennedy and Karrington. On and on the beat down went with Karrington berating OuTKaST and the fans for their sins.

Even Ego Express Partner Steven Kennedy is stunned with the brutality that Karrington delivers against their arch rival OuTkaST. (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

Karrington knocked out the ref Michael Crase, then continued his assault on OuTKaST. (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

“I have no regret or remorse for the beating I inflicted on the Outtkast. The revelation was for the sake of his salvation, and was for his own good, whether he realizes it right now or not. I was simply trying to set Outtkast free…trying to help him see the light and the peace that comes with accepting the Midwest Messiah into his heart. I will help Outtkast and the rest of my disciples see that my ways are righteous and my mission is true. Just like the rest of them…he is too ignorant to see it for himself. He will accept me as his savior….be it by choice or by force.”

In what seem like forever till the officials were able to separate Karrington and Kennedy from OutKAst. A chill ran up my spine as I witnessed the evil look in KC Karrington’s eyes and destruction that he seemed thrilled to deliver.

Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free
- Jim Morrison

Evil is in the eyes of KC Karrington (Photo Credit Stephen Jones)

I sent tapes of Karrington recent actions to wrestling psychologist Jason Thomas. When I got back with Thomas I could hear the concern in his voice about Karrington as I asked him why the change?

Thomas stated “What is interesting is that for the most part, individuals that find success also relate the accomplishment with happiness. Even with big wins against the Northstar Express and Jeremy Wyatt, Karrington has regressed. The question remains was the feeling of being on top, disappointing to Karrington or did he resent the fact that still not enough to please him?”

I was able to catch up with Karrington’s partner Kennedy who had this to say about his fellow Ego partner Steven Kennedy “A lot about that night seems like a blur to me. But I do distinctly remember one thing, the look in his eyes. I’ve never seen that look in KC’s eyes. It’s like he wasn’t in control. For a split second, I felt like I was looking at someone else entirely.

We get back to our dressing room after that and he stands there like nothing happened at all. I remember standing there thinking to myself, ‘This guy nearly murdered Outkast in front of an audience.’ I’ve been guilty of some devious stuff in my career, but I’ve NEVER seen someone get absolutely destroyed like that. It’s like something has changed in KC, something that was buried deep within him has finally snapped.”

Thomas went on to say that “ Karrington has what is called a Messiah Complex, state of mind in which an individual holds a belief they are, or is destined to become, a savior mixed with a God Complex where he believes that he is above others.. The scary part of this is that there was no remorse at any of his attacks. In wrestling if you look closely you see feuds go all out but at times there is a peak or hesitations in their attack where there is a line drawn. With Karrington the past few months their has been no bounds for his contempt. Even in his partner Kennedy who seems to condone Karringtons actions there was moments where he back off. That wasn’t the case with Karrington.

The last words from Thomas was an eerie warning to all “ I highly urge wrestlers around the Midwest to keep their distance from Karrington at this time. He is a ticking time bomb that will only get worse. At this point I have to worry about the safety of the fans that Karrington has stated he is here to save.”

Last words from Karrington.

This is the prophecy….I have always been and will always be. I am here to be living water for midwest wrestling and I will raise myself up onto the highest seat of Dynamo Pro Wrestling. I will make myself the Morningstar and the light by which all must follow. My church will be established, and my name will be praised. “

“K.C. be with you. Amen.”

Dubi meets the IHW Fans September 11th

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 20, 2010

By Dubray Tallman

Good day my wrestling fans, on September 11th we returned to Independent Hardcore Wrestling and for the first time we got to see them in Waterloo Illinois for “The Battle of Waterloo”.

On this weekend was my son Tyler’s 11th birthday so Brian offered to take him and his best friend Nick out for wrestling. This would be Nick’s first wrestling event so the boys were exciting about checking out the show.

The crowd was huge and the fans were really having a good time and it came to no surprise to me that the IHW Champion Brandon Aarons was one of the most request wrestlers for this edition of Dubi Meets the Fans.

Wesley Rodell and Justin Campbell with Brandon Aarons

I caught up with Wesley Roedl and Justin Campbell who were excited to have their pictures with Aarons. Justin has already snagged the trademark Aarons glasses at the merchandise table. My daughter Cheyenne loves those glasses and bought her one to have as well when we brought her last.

Up next was Hardcore fan favorite Mephisto who was chosen by Brandon Van Dever from Cahokia, Illinois.

Brandon Van Dever and Mephisto

Brandon told me that “after wrestling legend Baron Von Raschke, Mephisto was the best.”

We caught up with Aarons once again this time with friends who also picked up themselves a set of the Brandon Aarons player shades.

Michael Quinn and Aden Stein with Brandon Aarons.

Michael Quinn and Aden Steine from Waterloo Illinois were ready to cheer on Aarons as he was set to take on Bailey Mannix in the Main event.

Brandon Obst and Brandon Aarons

Blake Obst had hope to get his picture taken with the youth sensation Evan Money but before we could get it done Money had been jumped from after his match from Eric Allen, Lovely Leon and Bailey Mannix who cost him the win against the Canadian Sean Vincent.

Blake Obst and Cameron Cage

Money was being attended to in the back so Blake was willing to take his picture with the returning Cameron Cage.

I looked around to see who I could choose while we waited for Poo Doo the Cow to come out to have his picture taken with Tyler and Nick.

I saw Shorty Biggs  near and he had just got done signing autographs and took some pictures with his fans.

Shorty Biggs and Dubray Tallman

St Louis loves them some Shorty and so do I.

Aaron Brigance was lucky to have his picture taken with the Tony Kozina and I got so busy that I forgot to get one taken with the superstar.

Aaron Brigance and Tony Kozina

Kozina was also the IHW wrestler who wore the MWR shirt prior to his match to throw to one lucky fan.

Tyler Tallman with Poo Doo and his cowgirl along with Nick Bowne

Tyler and Nick quickly let me know when Poo Doo came out from the back and he was joined with him a cowgirl The boys favorite match did turn out to be his with Dash Rando and they were elated to get their picture taken with the popular IHW Star.

Tony Kozina had an amazing match with Chris Logan that saw chairs and tables involved throughout the match.

Sam Bazzell and Tony Kozina

Prior to his match Sam Bazzell caught the shirt and Tony came out prior to the main event to take a picture with young Sam

The night of wrestling turned out to be a lot of fun and on a personal note we would like to thank everyone at IHW for making Tylers birthday a night that he will always remember.

I hope to see you at a show real soon my friends and feel free to come out to say that you want to be part of Dubi meets the fans and we will do our best to get you a chance to meet your favorite wrestler.

Stone appeared ready to leave the ring without accepting a handshake from the champion…at that point, Wyatt & Sterling jumped the champion! Stone, who has had issues with the Kansas City Killers in the past, decided to re-enter the ring and even the odds…leaving the champion and challenger standing tall in the ring!

NWA Dynamo Wrestling returns this Saturday in Glen Carbon IL- Trent Stone and Davey Vega vs. Jeremy Wyatt and Mark Sterling.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 23, 2010

After a power outage forced an end to our last event prematurely on July 24th, we are are returning to the Sports Academy in Glen Carbon with a night of exciting action topped with a tag team main event when NWA Missouri Champ Davey Vega and Trent Stone vs NWA Central States Champ Mark Sterling and Jeremy Wyatt.

MTV’s RealWorld/Road Rules Star Dan Walsh will face off against the returning Kevin X.
Will this be the start of Kevin …X’s Road to Gold once again …or will Walsh be the immovable roadblock blocking his path?

Pete Madden has contacted management in regards to Super Castaldi 13.
At Mr Madden’s request a match has been scheduled between Super Castaldi 13 and “The Human Wrecking Ball” Pete Madden. Many may not know but Pete Madden was the man that introduced the original Super Castaldi’s into this area and would like the chance to step into the ring once more against the newest Super Castaldi, out of respect for the great Castaldi wrestling tradition.

After being unable to appear in last months show due to unforeseen car trouble, Shorty Biggs blames himself for the brutal attack done to his tag partner OuTtKaSt after Kast’s victory over “Spoiled” Steven Kennedy at the hands of KC Karrington. This attack left OuTtKaSt bloodied in the ring and with an injured spleen. Shorty vows that Karrington and Kennedy will pay for what was done and blames them for his car trouble which led to the perfect chance to take out 1/2 of their greatest rivals.

Check out MWR’S exclusive interview with the Bum Rush Brothers here.

Also scheduled to appear: Alexandre Rudolph, Ethan Wright, Stenven Kennedy, Adam Rich and several more Dynamo Pro Stars.

Dubi meets the HVW Fans 8-7-2010

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 22, 2010

By Dubray Tallman

MWR made our way to Granite City Illinois for High Voltage Wrestling ’S return from their summer vacation with the show “Balls to the Wall”.

In the air was the feeling for a fun night of wrestling and it had been a few months since we last saw the HVW Champion Kahagas in the Midwest. Also on the card was my good friend Santana G taking on her rival Amy Hennig and a lady that we had not seen before The Great Cheyenne. The rest of the card was a surprise and I was excited to find out who else was to be in action.

High Voltage Wrestling always excites the fans, here are a good group of fans waiting for a great time.

I was not the only one, as there were a big group of fans that came a couple hours early to be first in line for all the hard hitting action. Brian and I took the time to say hello and there were a few familiar faces in this group. One was superfan Firefighter Andrew from Granite City, Illinois, and another one was Joe from Fairmont Illinois. Joe you may recall was one of our fans that had hoped to get a picture with one of his favorites at NWA Dynamo recently with Shorty Biggs. Shorty was unable to make it to the show due to car trouble but the word on the street is that the Ego Express of KC Karrington and Steven Kennedy may have had something to do with the car breaking down.

Shirley, Glenn and Pauline with the Magic Man

The first group of fans that I met to my surprise was big fans of the manager “The Magic Man”. The Magic man is one of the most charismatic men in the sport today and it easy to see why people like him even though his actions seem to be on the shady side at times. Shirley, Glenn and Pauline from Granite City were able to meet the one and only Magic Man.

Kahagas and Clayton

Kahagas with Wrestling09 (John)

Kahagas with Dubray Tallman

I caught up with Clayton from Fairmont, Illinois and John from Granite City who both wanted their picture taken with “The Tokyo Monster” Kahagas. I have wanted my picture taken with the champ myself for sometimes. Kahagas English is very limited so thankfully HVW promoter TNT Keny G was able to interpret for us to get Kahagas to understand what Dubi meets the fans is and the three of us was able to get that elusive picture with Kahagas.

Andrew the Firefighter with Kahagas

Before the Champ left Andrew who is a huge Kahgas fan, so much that last year for Halloween (That’s my birthday so if you want to send gifts contact me and I will tell you what I want.) Andrew dressed up as Kahagas.

Picture of Andrew dressing up like Kahagas for Halloween, could a dream team of Kahagas and Andrew happen one day?

So it would only be fair that Andrew got his picture with his Idol.

OuTtKaSt ,Joe and Shorty Biggs

I was happy to see that Joe’s favorite Shorty Biggs was in action with his partner OuTtKaSt and the Bumrush Brothers were ready to repay the Ego’s for the vicious attack they put on OuTtKaSt at NWA Dynamo. If you want to see for yourself check out my buddy Mike Van Hoogstraats photo recap of that event here.

OuTtKaSt , Amanda and Shorty Biggs

The Bumrush Brothers were more than happy to meet Joe. As soon as we were done taking the photo Amanda Blasé from ST Louis let me know that she was all for getting her picture taken with one of today’s most popular tag teams.

Norman with the lovely but dangerous Amy Hennig

I had mentioned about the ladies triple match earlier and it never fails that us ladies can get the attention of you guys in no time. That was true with one of HVW’S strongest supporters Norman who was thrilled to get his picture taken with Amy Hennig.

Julie , Tommy Mike and Anthony with the Midwest Sweetheart Santana G.

I had promised the early birds of the night a picture with one of their favorites before the night was through. Tommy, Mike, Anthony and Julie all decided on HVW own Santana G.

John and Dubray Tallman

Well girls, your not the only one who has your fans, John or as he is known on the wrestling boards, Wrestling09 asked me for another picture beings that Brian lost the last one awhile back that he took of us. I was honored to have my picture taken with one of the Midwest wrestling’s biggest fans.

Dan Walsh with Anastasia and her dad Will.

During the evening the HVW wrestler that was kind enough to wear the MWR shirt to the ring and throw it to a lucky fan turned out to be Dan Walsh. Walsh would have his hand raised against the Magic Mans protege  Sir Bradley Charles but before the bell rang he targeted a young lady in the back and he showed his skills when young Anastasia. After the matches Dan joined Anastasia and her dad Will for a picture.

I would like to thank all the fans and wrestlers who made this Dubi meets the fans a lot of fun. In the near future look for a photo recap of this show and as always look for us at a show near you soon.

Love Dubz.

The Ego Express and the Bum Rush Brothers feud heats up!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 20, 2010

Throughout the history of sports there have been teams that were good, maybe great but they were unable to beat that important rival or win that big game.

Not to long ago my favorite American League baseball team the Boston Red Sox just could never seem to get that convincing win against the hated New York Yankees or win the World Series. From 1920 through 2003, the Yankees won 26 World Series championships and 39 pennants, compared to only four pennants for the Red Sox. To make matters worse, in every year that the Red Sox won the pennant — 1946, 1967, 1975 and 1986 — they lost the World Series four games to three, leaving them with no World Series titles.

Back to pro wrestling I give you a classic case of two such wrestlers that are very good but just as  hated as the Yankees, this rings true with the Ego Express of KC Karrington and Steven Kennedy of their dominance of the popular Bum Rush Brothers OutKasT and Shorty Biggs.

The history goes back to Gateway Championship Wrestling in 2006 when the Ego’s were the GCW Champions and the Bum Rush chasing the titles. The Ego’s would be able to retain the titles in exciting and close matches during their reign. The Bum Rush Brothers would be able to win the GCW tag titles against the European Union (Even Gelistico and Pierre Abernathy).

Fast forward to today and we find that some things never change. On May 1st in Pevely Missouri for NWA Dynamo, the Egos would once again defeat the very popular BumRush Brothers. The two teams went at it with the Ego’s taking every shortcut and cheapshot they could do to edge including with having the feet on the ropes to edge out the win. In the end it would draw the ire of the usally good guys of Biggs and OutKAST to attack the Ego’s after the match

In Glen Carbon on May 22nd Illinois NWA Dynamo returned with a one on one match up between KC Karrington and OutKast. The Bum Rush Brother would earn a hard fought victory but the taste of victory would be short when Karrington blasted OuTKaSt with a chair leaving him laid out.

A month would pass before the Egos and the Bum Rush Brothers met once again on May 26th but the time away did not cool off the tension between the two. A back and forth battle that once again looked to have the Bumrush Brothers with the bragging rights but it would be an outside interference that would cost the Bum Rush Brothers the win when Karrington ultimately propelled his team toward a win by throwing baby powder—which the ring announcer tossed to him—into the eyes of Biggs

Controversy would be the talk of the night when I was in Glen Carbon IL on July 24th  when the two teams were set to face each other in individual competition. Steven Kennedy was set to take on OutKaSt while Shorty Biggs was to meet KC Karrington. Word got around quickly that Shorty Biggs was not in the building due to car trouble. One wrestler who would like to remain anonymous told me that he over heard the Ego’s laughing that there was no way that Biggs car would ever get him to the building that night.

I didn’t think anything of it as I took photos of the match between Kennedy and OutkAst. In a very good match the fans were thrilled to see the Kennedy miss the Magic Bullet and win with the roll up. While the fans clapped and gave their approval, I knew it was the intermission so I hurried to get my good friend and fellow photographer a beer for helping us. I was halfway there and to my amazement or should I say disgust when I looked back to see KC Karrington enter the ring and double team OutKaSt in one of the most vicious attacks in recent memory.

Patrick Brandmeyer was on hand at High Voltage Wrestling when the Ego Express and the Bumrush Brothers once again went at it. Here is the quick play by play from Brandmeyer “K.C. Karrington was thrown out of the ring and appeared to suffer a knee injury, drawing ring announcer Wesley Cox  and the referee over to check on him. This conveniently left no one to count the pin when OuTtKaSt had Steven Kennedy covered after a double-team powerbomb. Karrington turned out to be playing possum and eliminated Shorty Biggs from the equation, then tripped up KaSt as he attempted to climb the turnbuckles. The Egos finished off KaSt with a double neckbreaker and SSK got the pinfall.”

The Bum Rush Brothers are desperate to get that big win from their rivals.

Have faith Shorty and OuTkAst all you have to do is look at the 2004 American League Championship series between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. John Sterling, Yankees radio announcer before Game 4 stated “The Yankees have a stranglehold on the series and yes the Yankees even had a one run lead going into the ninth inning of that very game.

What happened was the biggest choke in the HISTORY of sports, the Red Sox would go on to not only win game number four but become the first team to ever win a series down 3-0.

There was a bittersweet ending to the story when the Red Sox would have to take on my very favorite team the St Louis Cardinals to win the 2004 MLB World Series.

Moral of the story, even the most talented and low down teams like the Yankees and the Ego Express can’t win all the time.

We caught up with the Bum Rush Brothers after their hard fought loss at High Voltage Wrestling and they had this to say to the Ego Express.

Want more of what could be the feud of the year? NWA Dynamo returns on August 28th when it will be KC Karrington going one on one with Shorty Biggs. This and much more action at NWA Dynamo Wrestling !

Editors Note: To all the Yankee fans, know that some of my very best friends are huge fans of the NY, and this article is meant as a fun rib on them. If you still feel the need to send hate mail go ahead but do not miss August 28th when Shorty Biggs attempts to bring the momentum back to his team by defeating KC Karrington.

-Unfortunately, the show was cut short by a power outage during intermission as a huge thunderstorm hit the area. We waited for a while to see if the lights would return or if they could light the ring another way, but they finally called it off and offered discounts for their next show in August…rest of the card was scheduled to be Adam Rich vs. Evan Gelistico, Shorty vs. Karrington, Dan Walsh vs. Kevin X, and Davey Vega & Trent Stone vs. Mark Sterling & Jeremy Wyatt.

Missouri Wrestling Revival will have exclusive comments from the Bumrush Brothers Shorty Biggs and OuTtKaSt in the near future discussing their feud with the Ego Express that has the looks to not end anytime soon.

Dubi Meets the NWA Dynamo Fans Glen Carbon IL 7-24-10

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 4, 2010

By Dubray Tallman

Hello once again wrestling fans, Dubray Tallman back for a brand new “Dubi meets the Fans“. I missed what looked to be an exciting night of wrestling on July 17th in Park Hills with World League Wrestling  due to an illness, but I am excited about returning with “Dubi meets the NWA Dynamo Fans”.

I always try to get with fans prior to the matches to find out their favorite wrestler so we have an ideal what stars to catch up to during the short intermission. On this night there was a wrestler who was really in demand and it was none other than Shorty Biggs. A problem did arise when it was announced that Shorty had not arrived yet due to travel problems.

Mat Fitchett with Kevin Agoain

The NWA Dynamo Superstar that was chosen for the MWR T-shit give away was young Mat Fitchett who had a phenomenal match with Gary J that saw him light up the fans with a 450 splash with the win. Prior to the match starting Fitchett threw Kevin Agoain from Granite City the brand new grey version of the MWR T-shirt.

John, Rhonda, and lil Blake Rushing with Dan Woods, and Cameron Lilley with NWA Missouri Champion Davey Vega

I caught up with a great group of fans John, Rhonda, and lil Blake Rushing from Granite City plus Dan Woods, and Cameron Lilley from Scotaunton, IL who were delighted that the NWA Missouri Champion Davey Vega posed with them with the historic title in hand.

Oliva Hale from Granite City, IL

Sweet Oliva Hale from Granite City , IL stated that she was unsure of who she would like to have a picture with, but thought that it would be fun. She told me “pick someone cute” and in my mind there is no one cuter than Tyler Cook. I have known Cook for sometime now and he was more than happy to pose with Oliva.

Mat Fitchett and Mark Body

Mark Brody wanted a picture with a female wrestler, but beings that there was none on the card he was impressed with the young Fitchett.

Austin, Cory, and Jake from St Peters, Mo with Trent Stone

Up next was three excited boys Austin, Cory, and Jake from St Peters, Mo who chose the powerful Trent Stone. Stone one of the most impressive looking men in the Midwest seemed to enjoy taking the picture with the kids as much as Austin, Cory and Jake did.

Dubray Tallman with Dan Walsh

While I was waiting for Liz, Jen, Kayleigh and Bailey to get together for a picture, I decided to grab my choice for this feature. I have been very impressed with Dan Walsh. Walsh is a guy who I feel is a name that you will be hearing a lot out of in the near future.

my Liz, Jen, Kayleigh and Bailey pose with the lights out with wrestling Heartthrob Tyler Cook

Due to Shorty still not being in the building Liz, Jen, Kayleigh and Bailey stated that Tyler Cook would be a great pick. Then right as Brian was about to take the picture, human nature hit. The lights went out and it was almost pitch black due to a thunderstorm. The little girls were a little shaken up but Tyler, Liz and Jen was positive, while they along with Cook tried to make light out of the situation.

Bonus Picture fans that grabbed Brian to get a picture wih young Adam Rich

Unfortunately the lights would never come back on, but NWA Dynamo announced that everyone that brought back their ticket stub to the August 28th show they would get $5.00 off the admission price.

Look for a photo recap from MWR Photographer extraordinaire Mike Van Hoogstraat in the near future here at MWR and join me this Saturday in Granite City, Illinois for High Voltage Wrestling where the HVW Champion Kahagas returns plus a triple treat match with my friend Santana G taking on Amy Hennig and the Great Cheyenne plus be a fan for out “Dubi meets the High Voltage Wrestling Fans”.

Till then be good.

Love, Dubz.
