The Jeff Thompson Memorial Brings Family and Friends Together

Posted by flairwhoooooo on May 31, 2015

Missouri Wrestling Revival has supported pro wrestling for the past eight years and during that time we have traveled through the beautiful state of Iowa to meet the wonderful fans. While covering some of the biggest matches of this era on the independent scene that would include the likes of Tyler Black (Seth Rollins) Davey Richards, Adam Pearce and not one, but two Iron Man matches between Jeremy Wyatt and Mark Sterling.

 photo 0j_zpsuqcfrahv.jpg

On this night, I would be traveling to Nevada, Iowa , a town just outside of Des Moines the home base for 3XWrestling as an invite from my longtime friend 3XW fan Brian Vanderwal . Several months prior to the event Brian had Facebooked myself to ask if I could free my schedule to attend a memorial show that he was working with 3XW to honor the memory of his longtime friend Jeff Thompson. Due to the fact that it was Mothers Day and I had hoped to take my mother to Kansas City for the spring race of NASCAR event at Kansas Speedway for the Spongebob Squarepants 400, yet we would not be able to do so as she works at a nursing home for the past 35 years and was unable to get off, so I contacted my friend Brian to let him know the week prior that I would be there, and look forward to supporting his effort to make the Jeff Thompson Memorial Show a success.

To be honest, I can’t say that I had known Jeff, but it was obvious that he had touched many of those in the wrestling community by the kind words that many of the wrestlers had to say about him. I had written a press release on the pain that a mother/fathers have when they lose a child. Jeff a longtime wrestling fan ,made his way to cheer on the Nevada, Iowa girls basketball team on March 7th to win their first ever state basketball tournament . On the way out of the building Jeff collapsed and passed away due to a brain aneurysm on the way out of the arena that night. I did not know Jeff’s mother, Deb and had hoped that it was appropriate for the occasion, but Brian had told me that she had loved it and when we met prior to the event she had given me a hug to start off a memorable night in Iowa.

While meeting with his Dad, Ken, he and I exchanged stories of him traveling through Missouri, only to have a flat tire, and receiving help from a Missourian that had not asked for payment. We spoke about NASCAR and most importantly we talked about Jeff. Ken was impressed in the fact how Jeff had touched so many in the wrestling and Heavy Metal music community. While we spoke friends, family and fans of pro wrestling started to fill up, Ken told me the story that summed up how powerful a mother can be to their child as he explained how Jeff’s first spoken word were “mom” and on that tragic day that Jeff would pass away, his mother Deb was there and Jeff’s last words were “mom”.

Headlining the evenings events were a tag team tournament to crown the first ever 3XW Jeff Thompson Memorial tournament featuring four exciting tag teams including the former MWR Tag Team of the Year the American Bulldogs ( Mark McDowell and Jon West) , the exciting tag team AC/DC of Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin as well as the former fan favorite tag team of Heroes for Hire (Jimmy Rockwell and Zach Thompson) in opposite corners as Rockwell teamed up with the 3XWrestling Champion Jeremy Wyatt while Thompson aligned himself with Wyatts arch rival Mark Sterling.

Also on the card were several 3XWrestling favorites, as well as students from the 3XWrestling school and The Black & The Brave Wrestling Academy to thrill the fans with a night of exciting wrestling. Prior to bell time, Brian Vanderwal and his girlfriend were working the concession stand

while 3XW’s Corrie McDowell at the merchandise table offering raffle tickets to the fans for a chance to win wrestling merchandise as the fans had an opportunity to meet the tag team AC/DC, SM King and Nevada’s very own Don Desher.

SM King is the in the face of 3XWrestling announcer Austin Buckner.

Prior to the event 3XW’s Todd Countryman thanked the crowd for attending the show in Jeff Thompson’s memory expressing to them how blessed that 3XW had felt having the support of Jeff throughout the years.

Sentai and Pat Powers double teams “The Chainsaw King” SM King

The action started out fast and furious as Sentai and Pat Powers hoped to use speed to slowdown the powerful SM King.

In the end, Sentai took home the win in front of a rockin’ crowd.

Zach Thompson and Mark Sterling cuts the ring off as Referee Jeremy Robb tries to maintain order.

In the first round Mark Sterling and Zach Thompson took advantage of the miscommunication of the American Bulldogs to move on past the first round of the Jeff Thompson Memorial tournament.

Zach Thompson soars from above onto Jonathan West.

 photo 0b_zpsxyoivchr.jpg

A major double team move that helped the American Bulldogs win the 2012 MWR Tag Team of the Year. On this night it would not be enough to take down the Worlds Fittest Wrestler, Mark Sterling.

 photo 0c_zpsak5iqfqc.jpg

Just as Maddog McDowell was able to get the edge, down from below Thompson gives Sterling a helping hand.

Once again the Bulldogs seemed to have animosity between each other after the loss, leaving many wondering if this was the last of the Bulldogs for good.

JD Riggs punishes Rich Brooks in the corner, with advice from his Skylar Pierce manager at ringside.

Up next, Skylar Pierce and power of JD Riggs would be too much for the young Rich Brooks to overcome in match number two as the big man keeps rolling in 3XW.

 photo 0e_zpsi7nqa7ng.jpg

Brooks looks to have a ton of potential, but he will have to avoid taking punishment like this if he hopes to make an impact.

The second match in the Jeff Thompson Memorial tournament went back and forth as Wyatt and Rockwell struggled to keep up with the tag team excellence of AC/DC. Wyatt and Rockwell captured a hard fought victory to move on into the finals of the tournament to be featured in the main event later that evening.

Sometimes you find yourself at the wrong place at the wrong time. Here Wyatt levels Corbin with a brutal kick.

Todd Countryman offers young Jackson a special autograph poster of the nights event.

During the intermission, we got to see a softer side of one of the baddest men in the Midwest, “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt when they offered Ken and Deb’s grandson Jackson an autograph poster of the nights event in the middle of the ring.

 photo 0g_zpsnovpxm4r.jpg

Jackson hooks the leg on Todd Countryman, on the way to victory as Wyatt makes the count and Rockwell cheers him on.

As they say kids say and do the darndest things, and on this night was no different. As Rockwell and Wyatt was in the ring Todd Countryman asked young Jackson if he was would like to challenge one of the tag team winners to a contest, the boy declined, but much to Countrymans’ dismay Jackson wanted a match with Todd.

 photo 0h_zps8hqltlpv.jpg

In years to come this mask wrestler could become the next 3XW Champion.

In one of the shortest matches at 3XW, he delivered one move on the way to getting the 1-2-3 as Wyatt took the role of referee and Rockwell celebrated with the crowd.
 photo 0i_zpshfeqtfr5.jpg

WWE’S Bo Dallas would be proud of Jackson because once he got out of the ring he made a victory lap clapping fans hands along the way.

Devin Carter has been one of the best wrestlers at 3XW for some time and Nevada’s own Don Desher hoped to take the cheers of the hometown crowd on the way to victory.

 photo ok_zpsdsw0tmhl.jpg

 photo 0n_zpsbs73u6ht.jpg

Desher was able to hook on the Scorpion Deathlock for the win.

Carter, a wily and dangerous challenger stopped Desher momentum at every turn only to have Desher capture the biggest victory of his young career forcing Carter to tap out to the sharpshooter as the crowd exploded.

Early on Adrian Alexander was able to use his speed to have Rory Fox reeling.

Straight out of the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy,  Adrian Alexander found himself across the ring against former 3XWrestling Champion Rory Fox.

 photo 0p_zpsdzks6kj7.jpg

The former student of wrestling great Les Thatcher can defeat you on the ground or in the air.

 photo 0q_zpstc8cfbxq.jpg

Speed kills, and her Alexander caught Rory Fox in midair off the top rope.

 photo 00r_zpsavwxz4ob.jpg

If Rory Fox’s wrestling skills were not enough, he is a master of hiding foreign objects. Here he is choking Alexander out with a band while the ref was out of position.

I have to believe that Fox is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the Midwest, and the fact that Alexander not only stood his ground, but was able to show signs of getting a win early in his first months of wrestling before falling to losing to Fox. proves to me that we should see a lot of the young star to come.

Brady A Dezire goes for a ride.

 photo 0u_zps51lswh6c.jpg

Superkick from Dezire caught the young rookie by surprise.

 photo 0x_zpstlzdm1cv.jpg

The always charismatic Brady A Dezire was dressed for the occasion as he had his cow style pants, but it would be the cowboy “The Lone Star” Jesse Malone who would be right at home in the country style pavilion capturing a huge win.

 photo 0z_zpsn96bukiu.jpg

In a battle between partners it would be McDowell getting the bragging rights on this evening.

A classic battle royal was held next as the 3XW stars battled it out, until it was Bulldog partners Mark McDowell and Jon West. On this night Maddog McDowell would have the crowd rockin’ as he was able to turn the tide of West and dump him onto the floor to become the last man standing.

The finals of the tournament was set as four men who have been to battle with and against each other throughout the years battle for the bragging rights of being named the first ever Jeff Thompson Memorial Tag Team Champions.

Classic double team as Sterling hold Rockwell down while Thompson brings the pain.

 photo 004_zps297pallo.jpg

Jeremy Wyatt gives Zach Thompson the worse titty twister ever.

 photo 005_zpsh50elu1c.jpg

Sterling has no where to run as Wyatt is on top of him.

Sterling and Thompson were vicious and unforgiving in their attack of Rockwell and Wyatt. Sterling delivered the power moves as Thompson used his speed to their teams’ advantage early on. It would be back and forth as both teams looked to gain an advantage, but it would be a leg drop from Wyatt sealing the victory for their team.

 photo 007_zps2oywjlp8.jpg

Moments later Todd Countryman invited Brian Vanderwal in the ring to present the Jeff Thompson Memorial trophy to the team of Jeremy Wyatt and Zach Thompson. It was then decided between Vanderwal, Wyatt and Rockwell that Jeff Thompsons mother and father should come into the squared circle to be given the trophy in Jeff Thompson’s honor.

 photo 006_zpsghyutgcl.jpg

As Jeff’s mom and dad, Deb and Ken were handed the trophy by the winners of the tournament, Vanderwal and several of the young family members came into the ring to celebrate, I realized that I had experienced a truly magical moment at 3XW.

1st ever 3xw King of Des Moines

Current Metro Pro wrestling Tag Team Champion with Zach Thompson

NWA  Midwest tag team champion

Mecw tag team champion

MECW Independent champion

Windy City Pro Wrestling 6man tag team champion

By Rockstar Jimmy Rockwell

I get asked quite a bit what’s it’s like to be a pro wrestler… where do i start? How does somebody describe something they’ve completely dedicated themselves to?

Wrestling is filled with the good stuff but there is also the times that is filled with disappointment and setback.

Photobucket

During a huge 6 man match at Metro Pro Wrestling in February , Matt Murphy teamed up with Bull Schmitt and Trevor Murdock to take on Showtime Bradley Charles, Jeremy Wyatt and Mark Sterling. Here Murphy drops Charles and Wyatt.(Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Maybe this where I’m supposed to talk about the blood, sweat and tears?

Photobucket

Rockwell and his partner Zach Thompson otherwise known as Heroes for Hire has had two classic matches with the Hooligans at Metro Pro Wrestling. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Well in Matt Murphy’s autobiography, The Somebody Obsession, he nails it.

Matt overcame a less ideal childhood to follow a dream. He dedicated himself to it in ways other people can only imagine and achieved a level they can only dream about. From being the 1st graduate of the Harley Race Academy and being one of Harley’s best and brightest. He toured Japan, wrestled the best in the world, and entertained thousands. All while living with friends, waiting tables and wrestling with demons.

Matt’s book is an easy read with something for everybody. He’s got funny tales of language breakdowns with some of Japans best, to hilarious “injuries at his own hand”… Gives insight to some of the greatest stars in the history of pro wrestling. Harley Race’s competitive nature and the stubbornness of Bret Hart. Matt also gives his candid opinions on some of the best wrestlers covered in in the MWR area. Murphy does this with a writing style that makes you think he’s in the room telling you the stories personally.

This book is a must have for wrestling fans everywhere.

To purchase this must read book from All That Matt Murphy click here.

Fans can catch Matt Murphy and Jimmy Rockwell at Metro Pro Wrestling and various other quality promotions around the Midwest.

Metro Pro Wrestling features the first MWR Christmas wish list match- Heroes for Hire vs The Hooligans

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 23, 2012

By Brian Kelley

During the Christmas season, MWR looks around the Midwest at the fifteen promotions that we cover to find matches that we have never seen. Some we know may never happen but there is always that hope that somewhere, sometime they will meet.

We call these matches the 2011 Christmas wish list of matches and this year can be seen by clicking here, and have included such Matt Murphy vs. Gary Jackson,  Mark Sterling vs. Edmund “Livewire” McGuire and Serenity vs. Lucy Mendez.

During the very first show of the year for the 2011 MWR Promotion of the Year, Metro Pro Wrestling a Christmas wish will be granted when the Midwest Tag Team Champions The Heroes for Hire ( Zach Thompson and Jimmy Rockwell will go toe to toe with the 2009 MWR Tag Team of the Year and was named the number one Tag team during the MWR years Devin and Mason Cutter, the Hooligans.

Photobucket

The Hooligans- Photo Credit Brian Kelley

When the dust settled this past year during the MWR awards committee’s voting, Heroes for Hire was voted the first runner up while the Hooligans was only one behind them at 2nd runner up.

This match will be the debut for Kansas City fans of the Hooligans, a team that has earned rave reviews for the past three years. Trained by former WWE Star Curtis Hughes, they are old school with quick tags mixed with the high impact new age attack that has allowed them to capture belts around the Midwest.

Photobucket

Heroes for Hire- Photo Credit Brian Kelley

The Heroes for Hire have been the tag team champions since they defeated the Beer City Bruisers on April 9th, 2011. Since then they have only getting better than ever defending the titles around the Midwest against some of the very best teams they can find.

Yet, in less than three weeks they will challenged like never before when they meet two men who have been involved in  death matches but are much more than a team that brings the pain, they are men with a purpose to be the top tag team in wrestling today.

With their eyes set for Kansas City and the chance to prove themselves on Metro Pro Wrestling TV against the fan favorites Heroes for Hire, the champs better be ready for a war.

The Heroes for Hire will need to use their speed and support from the fans to give them the edge to retain their titles in the very first meeting of the Heroes for Hire and The Hooligans !!!!

Does Steven J Girthy have Jeremy Wyatt poised to become the NWA Champion of the World on Nov 5th at Metro Pro Wrestling ?

Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 11, 2011

By Brian Kelley

To many in the Midwest he is the most hated man in wrestling today; to his opponents he is their worst nightmare.

Photobucket

Jeremy Wyatt and Steven J Girthy have been dominate in 2011. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

His name is Jeremy Wyatt; pro wrestling’s greatest secret , has wrestled one great match after another from Des Moines, Iowa to ST Louis, Missouri and in every town in Illinois and back in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.

In the past Wyatt has earned the nickname “The belt collector” for his ability to capture title after title in multiple promotions against the very best. Wyatt would become the first man to be named the MWR Wrestler of the Year and has won three consecutive matches of the years with three different opponents Michael Strider, Tyler Cook and Tyler Black respectably.

Wyatt has mixed it up with the top names in the sport including the current Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards, Former TNA World Champion Samoa Joe, the former ROH World Champion Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs, Al Snow and Road Dogg Jesse James to name just a few.

Still al the wins, belts, awards and great matches have not brought Wyatt to the forefront of the wrestling world.

Is that about to change??

Photobucket

Wyatt can be ruthless in his attack. A masterful tactician armed with the mastermind Steven J Girthy at ringside he is always one step ahead of his opponents. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

This past weekend the top wrestling manager in the Midwest Steven J Girthy set the wheels in motion at Metro Pro Wrestling to gain momentum to become the NWA World Champion. When It was announced that the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana would be making his way to MPW, could the man that Cabana called “Porky Pig” of been masterfully setting his man up for a NWA World Title match against Adam Pearce?

While Cabana entertained the crowd from bell to bell with his masterful wrestling skills and silly antics, Wyatt And Girthy were at were at there very best and they had to be, Cabana has been to the top with WWE and as the NWA World Champion by defeating none other than Adam Pearce on March 6, 2011 at the NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood television tapings earlier this year.

Photobucket

Former NWA World Champion Colt Cabana would fall victim to the The Rebel in the main event at Metro Pro Wrestling. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Earlier this year the Belt Collector would become only the third man in the history of wrestling to capture the NWA Missouri Title and the NWA Central States Championship as the same time.  Harley Race and Bob Orton SR   being the other two men. Since that time, Wyatt has been able to keep the NWA Central States firmly on his waist against the likes of Sir Bradley Charles, Trent Stone, Jimmy Rockwell, Ryan Drago and arch rival NWA Kansas Champion Tyler Cook.

The greatest years in the NWA History has had the very best in the Midwest in the middle of the title hunt. Former 8 time World Champion Harley Race would bring honor, respectability and toughness not only to the NWA Title but to Japan and around the World.

With momentum on his side and the great mind of Girthy in his corner is the NWA World Title poised to change hands for the first time in Kansas City since Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes on September 17th 1981 nearly thirty years ago?

With all the positives in this equation there is one huge problem for the Belt Collector.

NWA World Champion Adam Pearce!!!

Make no mistake about it, Adam Pearce is one of the top wrestlers in the world today. It is by no fluke that he is a four time NWA World champion who has sent many challengers packing who felt their time was now home wandering what if.

His resume speaks for itself. Titles around the country, victories against the likes of WWE’S CM Punk, Daniel Bryan ( Bryan Danielson), Delirious, Blue Demon Jr. In a true testament of his greatness Pearce was not only able to be a force in a four-way match between Chance Prophet and Jimmy Rave and Shaun Tampers for the vacant NWA World title on August 30th but would become a four time NWA World Champion.

Wyatt may have been great in the past but if he is to compete with Pearce then he cannot make one
mistake. If so the confident, ruthless NWA Kingpin will capitalize and remain the NWA World Champion.

When the last bell rang at the Turner Rec Center last week a stunned Colt Cabana and Metro Pro Wrestling fans watched as Wyatt and Steven J Girthy celebrated yet another win.

Metro Pro Wrestling has not announced who Pearce would defend the title against when he returns to on November 5th at the Turner Rec Center but if Girthy and Wyatt have their way then it could be the NWA Central States Champion vs. the NWA World Champion.

Could history be made on November 5tth and Jeremy Wyatt was able to add his most important belt to his collection? The NWA World Championship!!

30) Heroes for Hire (Jimmy Rockwell and Zach Thompson)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 20, 2011

Photobucket

What do you get when you combine two of the top young talents in the Midwest with the love of comic books? Heroes for Hire that’s who! Jimmy Rockwell and Zach Thompson saw an opportunity in 2011 to step up to the big time at Metro Pro Wrestling for a chance at the NWA Midwest tag team Championship. With a BAM, BOOM and CRASH they would defeat the Beer City Brawlers to make that goal a reality.

Can the Heroes for Hire can survive August at both NWA Dynamo in Glen Carbon Illinois and Metro Pro Wrestling with the titles?

Regardless look for the H4H to be one of the teams that will bring excitement in the Midwest for years to come.

3XW is ready to rumble Friday night By Mark Campos

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 31, 2011

By Mark Campos

With less then a week away 3XWrestling’s “Reign of Terror II” is starting to heat up this frozen city! The real rumble will take place February 4th at the hottest place in town the Des Moines Social Club. Don’t miss your chance to see true professional wrestlers live in action!

Photobucket

Will this feud ever end? The hatred between two of the most talented wrestlers in 3XW has driven these men to extreme levels! The 3XW Pure Wrestling Champion, “The Laotian Sensation” Ricky Kwong, turned on his former partner, “The Rockstar” Jimmy Rockwell, and the fans in a fit of jealousy last year. Since his turn to the darkside Kwong has assaulted Rockwell numerous times from behind and robbed him of the Pure Wrestling belt.

At last months show Kwong and The Mauler were disqualified after their manager and first class nerd, Chad Mylan, assaulted the ref! Rockwell and his partner Sir Bradley Charles got the win but not the way they wanted. “The Rockstar” had enough and took to the mic and challenged the villainous Kwong to a match at “Reign of Terror II”. There is one stipulation is in effect for that night. If Kwong gets disqualified the belt will change hands! This is sure to be a classic and brutal war between the one time allies.

The 3XWrestling Tag Team gold will also be on the line at “Reign of Terror II”. “The Horndogs” will be defending their titles for the first time against the “Genesis” team of Sly and Smooth. Maddog” McDowell and Krotch of “The Horndogs” have been together for some time and finally won the belts that they deserve. After beating another “Genesis” team, Casanova and “Delicious” Devin Carter, the “Dogs” will have to keep watching their backs as every tag team will be gunning for them now.

This new “Genesis” tag team of Sly and Smooth are not really new. As with all “Genesis” members “Torturous” Tony Sly and A.J. Smooth have been at 3XW since its inception. These two have yet to obtain any single titles so maybe as a tag team they will have more success. Being that this is their first tag match together it will be interesting to see how well these two clowns get along.

The 3XW Heavyweight belt will be defended as Brian Ash takes on the “World’s Fittest Wrestler” Mark Sterling. Team “Genesis” will take on the returning “High Flyers” and “The Canadian Sex Icon” Ryan Slade. In another tag team match American Ground and Air of “Genesis” will quarrel with Sir Bradley Charles and “The American Fury” Jon West. Also just recently added the always exciting Shane Hollister will have a match against the one and only Rebelucha!

Reign of Terror II” will be held at the Des Moines Social Club on Friday, February 4th located at 1408 Locust Street in Des Moines, IA. Tickets can be purchased online at 3XWrestling.com or at Cup O’Kryptonite and both Jay’s CD and Hobby locations. Advance presale tickets cost $12 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under. Ticket will also be sold the night of the show at $15 for adults, $6 for kids 10 and under and kids 3 and under are free. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the bell time being 7:30 p.m. Be there or be square.

1.) Jimmy Rockwell defeated Joey Daniels via Rock-On Bomb in our opening contest. Both men needed a win here to move up the ranks and in the end Rockwell put Daniels down for the count.

2.) Sean Nautilus and Angelus Layne wrestled to a No Contest when Donnie Peppercricket ran into the ring and attacked both competitors. Peppercricket was suspended from competing this evening, and he came in from the side entrance. He then said that he doesn’t care about being suspended or fined, that he is tired of being everyone’s dancing clown and he’s tired of the ridiculous name Donnie Peppercricket. He revealed that his name is actually Branden and he intends on making Chris Havius’ life a living hell.

3.) #1 Brett Young defeated David Clark via One Shot. David Clark was looking for the upset win here, and utilizing his array of suplex’s almost got it for him. However, Young’s experience and knowledge helped him pick up the victory over the rookie.

4.) PWP Tag Team Championship: Zac James & Ryan Slade w/ Axel Greece defeated Beautiful Bodies of Brian Gott & Derek Cornell via Sliced Bread/Splash Combo in a very fun tag team match! The Bodies seemed only to be interested in wrestling Ryan Slade for some reason. In the end the champions proved why they are on top in PWP.

5.) “Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt defeated “Rock N Roll” Mike Sydal via Lightning Spiral in an intense bout. Wyatt returned to PWP after a short hiatus and showed he was no nonsense by taking Sydal down systematically. Sydal came close a few times but couldn’t defeat the Rebel.

6.) Matty Star defeated Zach Thompson via Top Rope Falcon Arrow that was absolutely mind blowing! These two had a great wrestling match that showed PWP fans that Thompson can hang in the ring with one of their favorite competitors.

7.) PWP Heavyweight Championship: “Babyface” Tony Cortez defeated Supafli via Ki-Krusher to retain his Heavyweight Championship. Cortez was given the opportunity to face anyone for the title and he chose Supafli because he said that he was very impressed by his recent victory over Jaysin Strife and wanted to see what he had in the ring face to face. These two crowd favorites put on a spectacle that will not soon be forgotten!

8.) Last Man Standing: Abu Colossus defeated Preston Maxwell when Preston had the Gator Roll Choke locked on Abu and Abu found the strength to spear Maxwell through a table that had been set up in the corner, and Maxwell could not answer the referee’s 10 count. This match saw a lot of insane violence including scary repeated chair shots and brawling all over the arena. Maxwell even took the bottom rope off and choked Colossus with it! Maxwell had the Gator Roll Choke locked in a few times but Abu found a way out each time and showed why his nickname is the Big Hurt.

It was an amazing show, thanks to everyone who came out and showed their support! Next show is January 15th at the National Guard Armory in Council Bluffs, and it is Year of the Phoenix 6!!!
